The QuickSilver II Made From Woven High Performance
Sail Fabric without Lamination!
Here's the Story
While much of the focus on sail material development has been on high tech laminates for
grand prix racing boats, there has been a quiet revolution going on in woven materials.
Resulting in an entire new range of fibers, and a new woven sail material producing,
LIGHTER, STRONGER, Sails.
Doyle's QuickSilver II made from Woven Warp oriented Polyester addresses the problems
performance cruising sailors have had to live with, LAMINATION = low durability, high
replacement expense, mildew problems, loss of sail shape, etc.. Most Kevlar / Mylar r /
Spectra sails become obsolete from loss of shape due to shrinkage, crinkling, and
delamination of the Mylar.
Doyle's QuickSilver II offers the low stretch of laminates with the durability of
Dacron wovens. Finally, this is a performance fabric, that is not a copy of fabrics
designed for race boats, but conceived specifically for high performance sailing where
durability is valued. Additionally, because it is a woven fabric without any glue, mildew
is not a problem.
Doyle's QuickSilver II comes with
a Three Year Guarantee.
