3D Design

Doyle Sailmakers has recently begun a high resolution 3D modelling and analysis project. The goal of the project is to integrate our many computational design and analysis tools into one comprehensive model that can be used for everyhting from sail design to rig setup analysis. The basis for all of our 3D analysis tools is accurate geometric models. Below are 5 of our models.

The Doyle 3D models may be rotated, panned and zoomed by dragging the mouse over the model window according to the commands listed below.

• Rotate: Left Mouse Button + Move mouse
• Zoom: Right Mouse Button + Mouse up and down
• Pan: Left + Right Mouse Buttons + Move mouse

First time users will be guided through installing a plug-in. The plug-in only works on Windows computers using IE or Netscape as a browser.
