Doyle Sails Detroit is pleased to announce that John Duer has opened a sales and service facility in the Grand River, OH area. John is the owner of Great Lakes Rigging and has established an excellent reputation for unsurpassed customer service.

John grew up sailing on his family’s Ericson 35 and currently owns a J/29. He has raced on all types of boats from dinghies to offshore boats. He has ten years of sail making experience with UK and Doyle Sails. In addition, he is certified in hand splicing and has attended Harken University. He can supply all your standing and running rigging needs.

John was actively involved on the Mumm 30 circuit for several years. Aside from his local sailing, he has competed in Key West and Charleston Race Weeks and many of the NOOD regattas. Unlike many sail makers, John has extensive cruising experience in addition to his impressive racing resume. John understands what cruisers are looking for and is anxious to help our cruising customers get the most enjoyment possible from their boats.
