The Farr-40 has become the one of the most popular and competitive Owner/Driver One Design Classes. With over 125 boats sold worldwide the Farr-40 is a class that will be around for a long time. Regional fleets were set up from the start, and as a result there are strong fleets in Australia, Europe, Italy, Midwest, East and West Coasts of the United States.

Doyle Sailmakers has been involved in the Farr-40 Fleet from the beginning. Over the last few years the Offshore One Design Group has focused on the set up, tuning and sail development for the Farr-40. Doyle Sails have proven very fast in the Farr-40 Class with Alberto Signorini's Sylphea Dominating the racing in Europe and Phil Dowd's Inferno dominating the racing in the Great Lakes where over ½ of the Great Lakes Fleet is using Doyle sails. Our latest D-4 designs have won the Australian Nationals.
