Doyle's rapidly growing
one design department is
headed up by Jud Smith, 2006 Rolex Yachtsman of the Year, one-design sailor extraordinaire and America's Cup
veteran.
Jud Smith was a mainsail trimmer on Stars and Stripes
during Dennis Conner's 1995 America's Cup campaign. He is a
two-time Etchells 22 North American champion and a five-time
runner up at the Etchells 22 World's. He is also a former IOD
World Champion and has won numerous other championships in other
one-design classes. Smith has been a sailmaker for over 25 years
and is regarded as one of the finest one design sailmakers in the
world.
