Additional Sail Drop Off: West Marine Marblehead

Robbie Doyle established the first Doyle loft on Front Street in Marblehead, MA in 1982. After 25 years in Marblehead, Doyle Sailmakers expanded in 2007 into a new 31,000 square foot loft in Salem, Massachusetts. The Doyle Group now has over 70 lofts worldwide.

Doyle Sailmakers designs, cuts and manufactures sails from dinghies to superyachts for local and international sailors of all kinds. We at Doyle Sailmakers are small enough to give our customers personal attention yet global enough to provide the required service and technology.

Doyle One Design and Doyle Service Center are also located at 96 Swampscott Road in Salem.

Doyle Salem Hires New Service Manager - Andrew Schneider

Doyle Salem Hires New Service Manager - Andrew Schneider

Doyle Salem is pleased to introduce Andrew Schneider as our new service manager.  Andrew is taking over for Marianne Lynch, who first worked with Norman Cressy at Cressy Sails and then with Doyle for almost twenty years in various capacities.  She has taken her horse and moved to Vermont to work with her son who has opened his own car repair business.

Andrew grew up in Marblehead in a family steeped in sailing heritage, and has spent his whole life on or near the water.  He is a recent graduate of Boston College, where, among other honors, he was named Collegiate All-American Sailor twice.  In addition to his racing experience, he recently spent two years rebuilding a 1968 22’ S&S designed sloop.

Andrew takes the helm of our Service Department after working in Doyle Production, where he created sails of all sizes, including completing a full suite of sails for Athos, a 212’ schooner being built in Holland.

His attention to detail and love of sailing should serve him and our customers well.
