Jud Smith Wins 2008 Star Fall Windup
The 2008 Star Fall Windup was held October 4-5, 2008. Sixteen Stars competed in the Fall Windup sailed on the Choptank River. While 2008 Star North American Champion John Maccausland won the first race, Jud Smith and Brian Fatih won the regatta with finishes of 2-1-1-1. The conditions on Saturday were very light with under 5 knots of breeze. Sunday started out breezier with 8 to 12 knots of wind and then lightened up to to 4 to 6 knots.
