Doyle Sweeps San Juan 21 Class at LNYC Mid Winter Keelboat Regatta
The Lake Norman Yacht Club in Mooresville, NC held its Mid Winter Keelboat Regatta March 20 - 21. In a 14 boat San Juan 21 one design fleet, Doyle Sailmakers supplied the sails for the first 6 places. Hans Lassen, current North American Champion, with crew Randy Eakes made off with 1st place by an eight point margin in a weather shortened 3 race series. An opening race 3rd place followed by 2 bullets sealed the deal.
