Powered by 2010 Doyle sails, Fred deNapoli and crew took class honors in the 2010 Hanse Yachts PHRF New England Championship held in Marblehead, MA. Sailed in light to moderate winds, Allegro Semplicita bested the competitive 21 boat J/105 fleet over the course of six races in three days.

The Allegro Semplicita team included tactician Nick Burke, bowperson Kim Barrows, mid-bowman Steve Gleason, Anthony Warren at the mast, and Patrick Andersen trimming the jib.
Allegro Semplicita used a full inventory of new 2010 Doyle sails, including a cross cut main, a class jib and a full radial spinnaker. Looking back on this summer’s successes, deNapoli offers, “A big thanks to Doyle Sailmakers for making some pretty slippery sails.” Over the course of this season, deNapoli finished second in the Marblehead NOOD and won the Boston Yacht Club’s Summer Series as well.

Utilizing innovative 3D modeling and rigorous testing, the Doyle Design Team is actively developing fast, smooth and durable J/105 sails for all conditions. To learn more about Doyle J/105 sails call 800-94-DOYLE or click here.
