Loulou using the latest Doyle J/105 PB (Premium Boatspeed) sails dominated the 8-boat J/105 class at the 2011 New Jersey Red Grant Regatta winning 6 of the 7 races, only taking a second by a nose in one race. Loulou’s performance was good enough for the over all title “Best Performance in a One-Design.”
The new Doyle PB Stratis Class Jib is extremely effective throughout the entire wind range and Loulou had dominating speed in every race. Trimmers on the boat commented “The new Doyle jib could be a game changer, this is the fastest sail to date. The sail looked beautiful right out of the bag and is very easy to trim”. Downwind the Doyle PB Class 89 Spinnaker was lower and faster in all conditions. New spectra rings and advance patching have reduced the over weight of the sail by 20%.
