Bight Me Wins 1st Place Overall at 2012 Sperry Top-Sider Marblehead NOOD Regatta

While the wind Gods were not always shining at the 123rd running of Marblehead Race Week, 129 boats in 9 classes competed in light to moderate breezes over the course of the four day regatta. Sponsored by Sperry Top-Sider, the Marblehead NOOD regatta was hosted by the Eastern Yacht Club and held July 26-29, 2012.

Congratulations to Charlie Pendleton, Jim Raisides and crew sailing aboard the Rhodes 19 Bight Me for being named the Marblehead NOOD Regatta Overall Winner. Race officials from Sailing World and the race committee determine the Regatta’s Overall Winner, based on the strongest finish in the most competitive class. The Rhodes 19 fleet was also the largest class with 28 boats registered. Team Bight Me as part of its Overall Win is invited to participate in the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Championships in the British Virgin Islands at the end of the season to compete aboard Sunsail 44i’s against the other overall winners in the 2012 series.

Doyle Sailmakers congratulates all competing sailors but in particular our customers who won their respective classes.
