Doyle Sailmakers has very quickly grown to be a leading force world wide in Grand Prix race sails, both Working sails and Downwind specialist sails. Head designer Richard Bouzaid heads the design team with probably more experience than any other sail designer, having worked with campaigns of all sizes, from the America's Cup, to the Whitbred to the Vendee Globe.
Doyle Sailmakers is unique in its ability to control all aspects of sail optimzation, design and construction in-house. With its Stratis™ sail membrane manufacture facility and Production plant, the entire process can be completely controlled in-house for the very best product and timely delivery.
Over the years Doyle Sailmakers has amassed an impressive race winning record and have supplied sails to notable yachts such as J/V 72 Proteus, R/P 72 Shockwave, IMOCA 60 Hugo Boss, 100’ Bakewell-White Rio 100, Dovell 100 Skallywag, Botin 65 Caro and many others. Extensive testing on the water of the final product, coupled with cutting edge CFD and FEA software and design tools, have allowed us to develop sail shapes and crossovers perfected for the individual custom Grand Prix yacht. This, combined with our in-house SailPack design program and an incrediably detailed production process, offers unrivaled performance for our customers.
