| The Doyle UPS comes with an
optional Harken or Facnor Furling System, which is
attached to a Vectran internal luff rope. This system enables
you to use your UPS with minimal effort and crew.
You simply attach the furler's drum behind your headstay and
attach the top swivel to your jib halyard. Hoist halyard, run
the UPS sheet aft and unfurl. (You will notice a dramatic
increase in speed, so hold on!)
The furler can also be attached in front of your headstay. In
this application you would attach the swivel to your spinnaker
halyard.
When you are finished, simply roll up and let the halyard
down. Return sail and furler to sail bag. At the end of your
season, spray off with fresh water. |
