California Offshore Race Week Returns to the West Coast

The iconic California Offshore Race Week is back for 2026, delivering one of offshore sailing’s ultimate adventures down the spectacular California coastline. Spanning more than 500 nautical miles from San Francisco to San Diego, the series combines three demanding offshore races with world-class competition, changing conditions and unforgettable scenery.

This year, Doyle-powered teams are making a major impact in the highly competitive PHRF 1 Division, with RagtimeMeanieZeus and Vitesse all flying the Doyle Sails banner as they take on the challenging west coast schedule.
Adding even more depth to the fleet are Doyle Sails experts; offshore sailing legend Stu Bannatyne joins the crew onboard Zeus, while Auckland based; Italian designer Stefano Nava lines up with the Meanie team.
Meanwhile, fan favourite Ragtime sees Tina Roberts back at the helm as the iconic yacht returns to offshore competition. For more on Ragtime’s return, read here: Doyle Sails – Ragtime Returns

Spinnaker Cup: May 23-24, 2026
Coastal Cup: May 25-26, 2026
SoCal 300: May 28-30, 2026

First up Spinnaker Cup | San Francisco to Monterey.
The series opens on with the legendary Spinnaker Cup, beginning beneath the Golden Gate Bridge before crews head south along the rugged California coast toward Monterey. The race is famous for its cold Pacific breeze, strong currents and tactical coastal navigation as teams settle into offshore mode.

Coastal Cup | Monterey to Santa Barbara
The second leg continues the push south with the Coastal Cup from Monterey to Santa Barbara. Crews face changing wind patterns, coastal transitions and demanding overnight racing as they navigate one of the most scenic stretches of the California coastline. This race often rewards consistency, smart sail selection and strong teamwork.

SoCal 300 | Santa Barbara to San Diego
The grand finale is the SoCal 300, a dynamic offshore challenge weaving through the Channel Islands before finishing in San Diego. Combining offshore tactics with island navigation and fast reaching conditions, the SoCal 300 delivers a thrilling finish to the week-long series.
