Classics
Doyle Sails offers the best in sailmaking technology and design, including classic sails. We specialise in designing and delivering sails that align with the yacht’s era, ensuring her systems and aesthetic are maintained.
Our approach
True to your ERA
A classic yacht is years of work made visible, and the sails are the most visible part of it. Get them wrong and the restoration is undone every time the boat leaves the dock. We build sails that look right on a period rig, sit inside the class rules, and still hold their shape and performance in competitive fleets.

“It was a real thrill to help bring Pastime back to her original glory.”
Andy Pilcher, Doyle Sails New Zealand
Launched in Lyttelton in 1886 and out of a five year refit, Pastime came to our Auckland loft for a full suite. Her owners chose Classic Cream Dacron, a modern woven cloth with a period look, and we cut the inventory to traditional panel layouts. She now races a rivalry that dates back to the 1890s.
