Doyle Sails is proud to welcome Cam Seagreen to the team at Doyle Sails Palma, bringing with him a wealth of experience across multiple sailing disciplines and a strong background in sailmaking, project management, and product development. Cam’s appointment further solidifies Doyle Sails’ commitment to the well-recognised ‘by sailors, for sailors’ ethos.
Seagreen, originally from Perth, Western Australia, has an extensive and decorated sailing career. A two-time World Champion, three-time European Champion, and North American titleholder, Cam’s versatility spans across Olympic classes, match racing, offshore campaigns, multihulls, and superyacht regattas. He has raced in key positions: trim, main, bow, and tactics on everything from J/70s and Dragons to 60-metre superyachts.
A former member of the Australian Sailing Team, he represented the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and continues to sail on the World Match Racing Tour with the No. 1-ranked team, Riptide Racing. All very impressive considering he only learnt to sail at 17 in a 29er, and started sailing professionally at 19. “That is the great thing with this sport”, says Cam “, you can learn to sail and be successful at any age.”
Transitioning into sailmaking seven years ago, Cam quickly moved from the loft floor to leadership positions in management and sales. Lending his experience to many major superyacht projects, such as Swan 100s, Sea Eagle III, and Vertigo, while also being part of development teams refining sail and performance packages for racing and cruising programs around the world.
