Rhode Island has a rich history of manufacturing in the maritime industry, and Newport is celebrated as the hub for American sailing. Given its longstanding yachting tradition, Newport is home to some of the most renowned yachts in the world.

Founded in 2020 by Alex Clegg, and brothers Rob and Dave MacMillan, Doyle Sails Newport offers excellent loft facilities and expertise to serve the local and international yachting community. Cameron Appleton joined the leadership team in 2024, bolstering our team of sail experts. Led by Paul Tingle, the sailmakers at Doyle bring decades of experience to their craft and are one of the most respected and admired sailmaking teams in the world.
