Live Ocean, together with endurance swimmer Jono Ridler, are taking on an extraordinary challenge: 1,000 miles in 90 days, a swim for the ocean. As a proud Live Ocean partner, Doyle Sails is behind Jono and the Live Ocean team as they push the limits to champion and protect the ocean we all depend on.
Jono Ridler, who in 2023 swam 99km non-stop, no wetsuit from Aotea Great Barrier Island to Auckland’s North Shore, breaking the New Zealand record, is now taking on an even more ambitious endeavour. Starting on the 5th of January 2026 Jono will leave from North Cape, the very top of New Zealand, swimming the entire east coast of the North Island, finishing in Wellington. The journey will be documented with daily insights and pit spots along the way to raise awareness and support for ocean health.
