The past year has been one of refinement, redesign and relentless pursuit of performance for many of the yachts heading to Porto Cervo for the 2026 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup.
Galateia and Deep Blue have undergone particularly extensive refits, with both yachts carefully reworked and optimised to be regatta-ready for the pinnacle event of their seasons. But across the fleet, teams have been making their own changes and searching for gains, with additions including twin rudders and water ballast, alongside keel adjustments and rig movements.
Behind the scenes, the Doyle Sails team has been just as busy. More than 80 Doyle sails have been delivered for this event, spanning the Maxi 1, Maxi Grand Prix and Multihull divisions.
With more than 20 Doyle Sails team members on the water this week, our global team is embedded within the racing campaigns, working alongside sailors, designers and shore teams to make sure every detail is ready when racing begins.
It’s this close connection with the teams and their campaigns that allows Doyle to go beyond simply supplying sails — our experts are there throughout the process, from development and refit through to the racecourse.
