Yet, the demands of life at sea—long hours, isolation, and high-pressure environments—can take a significant toll on their mental and physical wellbeing. Often these struggles have been overlooked by the industry, leaving crew to find their own solutions.
Doyle Sails are thrilled to lead the industry again in ensuring that the people in this industry are supported, in 2020 we took a bold step to partner with Live Ocean an Ocean Conservation charity to ensure our playground was protected and now in 2025 we are striving to encourage the human element of our industry to be well supported.
WaveWellness is an innovative wellbeing platform designed specifically for yachties. Founded by Xanthe Bowater, who has over a decade of experience in the industry. WaveWellness was born out of a passion for ensuring support was available to the people who form the backbone of the super yachting world.
Its services include access to experienced psychotherapists, dietician plans, fitness resources, and a 24/7 online portal for support. Crew can engage with the aspects of the program that best suit their individual needs and schedules, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into their lives. WaveWellness empowers yacht crew to build resilience, restore balance, and maintain vitality—no matter where they are in the world.
