Doyle Sails New Zealand are proud to have worked with New Zealand-based company COAST New Zealand to create custom stowage bags for their new collection of luxury furniture. Utilising Doyles One Design recycled sails COAST has transformed them into sturdy bags for transporting and stowing their inflatables.
COAST New Zealand has launched its new state-of-the-art NIMBUS Collection of luxury inflatables. This latest addition to the COAST New Zealand line up comes nearly 20 years after the company first started with its much- revered Marine Bean Collection®, which is renowned for its quality and understated style.
The NIMBUS Collection is a versatile range that is suited to many settings. These include use as a float in the pool or off a yacht, while being smart and comfortable enough to use as traditional furniture off the water. COAST New Zealand has its origins as a trusted supplier for superyachts, and its entire range has proved enduringly popular on- board yachts and superyachts – the new NIMBUS Collection will be no exception.
Utilising COAST New Zealand’s proprietary three styles – the Lounger, the Orbit, and the Chair – to choose from, buyers will be spoilt for choice.
With cloud-filledTM technology, the NIMBUS Collection delivers the comfort and calibre of the brand’s award-winning beanbags, but with the easy portability and convenience of an inflatable.
“The NIMBUS Collection was developed as a direct result of client demand, particularly from boat owners who were looking for high quality inflatable seating options that could be used on the water and on deck, and easily stored,” says Nicola Webster, owner of COAST New Zealand. “After three years of research and development we are very proud to have created a range that is more than equal to this brief.”
As with every COAST New Zealand product, the NIMBUS Collection has been meticulously crafted, with attention to detail, usability, and sustainability at the forefront of the creative process.
COAST New Zealand’s interpretation of inflatables, which are traditionally short-lived items that are easily damaged, will appeal to those looking for exceptional and long-lasting sustainable pieces.
NIMBUS inflatables come in a wide range of colours and designs, with custom fabrics also available. The fabric covers are made in New Zealand from the world renowned Sunbrella® brand, favoured by the marine industry, which offers unparalleled performance and durability. Covers are padded with recirculated foam to provide superior comfort and longevity and are simple to remove from the liner for easy care.
Quality marine grade components have been employed when developing the air-filled liners, which are made with a combination of reinforced PVC and 300mm reinforced PVC drop stitch fabrics. All seams are heat sealed, not glued, ensuring a durable finish. These fabrics and technology have traditionally been used in paddle boards or tenders, and the NIMBUS inners will significantly outlast inferior inflatable liners.
Each NIMBUS product has marine grade stainless ‘D’ rings for securing to a vessel, a USB rechargeable pump and a bag made from recycled sails for stowing when not in use. Express worldwide shipping is available.
“We know that yacht owners are going to love the NIMBUS Collection, as it has been designed specifically with the marine setting in mind,” says Webster. “With the combination of the signature COAST New Zealand style, lightweight design, small storage footprint, and durable luxe construction, these are beautiful pieces that will be right at home on board a yacht and we look forward to seeing them enjoyed on and off the water.”
