Billy, Sierra and their beloved pup Jetty have recently taken delivery of Hull 1 of the latest performance multihull from Seawind Catamarans.
The newest design from Seawind Catamarans is the Seawind 1170, a 39ft compact category A cruiser, designed for a couple or small family looking to take the next step into offshore cruising. Doyle Sails is proud to be the official sailmaker to the Seawind fleet, working hard to ensure that each custom sail package is designed and delivered 100% to the expectations of the owners.
Led by Mark Fullerton and John Hearne at Doyle Sails Qingdao, Tula’s Endless Summer have collectively decided that the duo would select the performance range of sails and upgrade from the tradtional Dacron sails to a cruise laminate mainsail and jib, both fitted ahead of launch last month. The weight savings that accompany cruise laminate sails will ensure Billy and Sierra are able to manage these sails with ease, ultimately delivering lighter, faster, and stronger sails.
Utilising SailArt technology that is typically reserved for Stratis, the reaching sails, which include a screecher and an asymmetric spinnaker, with the latter including an image of the couples beloved Australian Cattle Dog Jetty, who lives abroad with the pair.
Their new boat is a fantastic upgrade and includes all the mod cons, which both Billy and Sierra are excited about which include a new navigation station which will double as the couples editing desk. The plan for these adventurers is to spend the American summertime exploring the waters around New England, indulging in all things they love. Sun, sea and sailing!
