Doyle Sails feature at the 2021 NZ Optimist Nationals

The New Zealand Optimist National Championships were held in Maraetai, the easternmost suburb of greater Auckland over Easter, which saw a total of 170 youth sailors competing across the open, white and green fleets. All three fleets were tested by a range of weather conditions from light breezes through to gusts of 30 knots.

In the Open fleet, Doyle sailor Cam Brown finished third behind Will Leach and Joe Leith respectively with all three showing impressive displays of consistency in their sailing. While in the White fleet, Matteo Barker took out the honours and was the worthy recipient of the Doyle Sails Optimist Scholarship offered to the top White Fleet sailor.
