Doyle Sails powers the mighty SEA EAGLE II

Doyle Sails is very excited to be the sailmaker powering SEA EAGLE II, an impressive 81m, triple masted schooner. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and built by Royal Huisman, Sea Eagle II is the largest yacht ever built at the shipyard in Vollenhove, The Netherlands and the world’s largest aluminium sailing yacht.

SEA EAGLE II boasts 3,500 sqm of sail area across seven sails and utilises our exclusive Cableless Technology to reduce the loads and make these immense sails easier for crew to handle.

SEA EAGLE II’s sail design, build and installation has very much been an international, collaborative project amongst the Doyle Sails Superyacht loft network – the sails were designed and built by Doyle Sails North America prior to Doyle Sails Palma’s Scott Zebny and Doyle Sails New Zealand’s Chris Blunden fitting the sails and sailing on-board during the sea trials in mid-February.
