The two day event for the Bacardi Winter Series Event 1 was taken out by Doyle powered J/70 “Rowdy” after a weekend of racing on Biscayne Bay, Miami.
Richard Witzel with his team of Carlos Robles, Mark Gauthier and Jud Smith wrapped up the event on 13 points, while Peter Cunningham with his crew of Chris Rast, Willem van Waay and Tony Rey took second place with 17 points. Both teams sailing with full Doyle Sails inventories
5th place with a Doyle main and headsail was Daniel Goldberg with his team of Lucas Calabrese, Tomas Hornos and Kristen Berry.

Teams will renew their race track battles at Bacardi Winter Series Event 2 in Miami from 28-30 January 2022, ahead of the series finale at the Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta, 9-12 March 2022.
