52 SUPERSERIES SAILOR VICTOR MARINO JOINS DOYLE SAILS

Doyle Sails welcomes Grand Prix Spanish sailor Victor Marino to the team of ever-expanding experts, where he is set to join the world-class sales and project management team.

Marino’s vast knowledge and experience in the sailing industry make him an excellent addition to the Doyle Sails International team, where he will share his passion and knowledge for sailing with the many Grand Prix campaigns he will become part of, delivering the high-quality product and service for which Doyle Sails is renowned.

Victor Marino’s sailing career began at the young age of nine in his hometown of Vigo, Spain. As a young Spanish sailor, he progressed through the junior classes, including the Cadet, where he developed his skills and discovered his passion for the sport. Marino’s success continued in the Vaurien class, a popular junior class in Europe, where he won both the Spanish National Championships and the World Championships.

Marino’s dedication and talent led him to the Olympic 470 class, where he participated in several Olympic trials as a helmsman and crew. As he continued to excel in the sport, he naturally progressed into coaching the Europe and 470 classes. Marino’s success as a sailor and coach has made him a respected and influential figure in the sailing community, where his passion and dedication extend to helping others.

Once Victor moved into professional sailing full-time, he quickly moved through the classes sailing on as many different yachts as possible, including the J/70, Farr 40, Soto 40, Melges 32, Melges 40, Club Swan 36, Club Swan 50, Maxi 72s. Victor is also a WORLD CHAMPION in the TP52 Class and has been integral to multiple America’s Cup campaigns.

“We have always said that our aim with Doyle was to have the best people, and so again, it’s really exciting to have Victor join the team; Victor brings a wealth of not only Grand Prix sailing but also organisational skills to the team to bolster and support the European Grand Prix team.  I’m excited to be working with him,” says Doyle Sails International’s CEO Mike Sanderson.

“It is both a pleasure and a challenge to be a part of the Doyle team. To be part of a group of top-level sailors who share the same passion for sailing as I do is very exciting. I am excited to be able to add to the already extensive wealth of knowledge and experience the Doyle team brings to Grand Prix campaigns and support sailors of all levels in their sailing. By sailors, for sailors, just like the Doyle slogan says”, comments Marino.
