Doyle Sails Solent has recently welcomed Jack Wetherell to their growing team, Jack is a well-known member of the British Sailing team where he has spent 7 years campaigning Laser Class yachts.
While Doyle Solent continues to grow across the board and in particular in the new Cape 31 Class, Wetherell brings with him current racing knowledge with the 2022 season on board these yachts claiming 2nd place at the Nationals onboard Tokoloshe.
Alongside Cape 31 racing in the last year, Jack has picked up 2nd place at both the SB20 World Championships and Portuguese National Championships, alongside winning the Cascais winter series across 3 events. In the J70 class, he has continued to have a dominant position by taking home the top title at both the UK Grand Slam and UK National Championships. Their team also placed 7th at the Italian Open J70 Championships and 11th at the J70 World Champs in Monaco. As a fairly newcomer to the ever-popular Moth Class Jack has placed 4th in the British Nationals.

Since 2019 I have been racing in competitive one-design classes and I really enjoy the tight tactical battles and the tireless work to squeeze out every drop of speed from a yacht” says Wetherell
