New Doyle loft opens in Oslo, Norway

Doyle Sails International is excited to announce a new loft opening in Oslo, Norway, a welcome addition to the region’s sailing community.

The Oslo loft is operated by Marius Borg-Heggedal, who brings a wealth of business experience and innovation to the Doyle Sails group as he has been a sailmaker and worked very closely with the partner Norweigian loft for many years. Marius is also CEO at Tarpon Solar AS – an innovative company established in 2016 that has developed a flexible cloth that produces renewable energy.

Led by Mike Sanderson, Richard Bouzaid and David Duff, Doyle Sails International is a global leader in high performance sails and has a proven reputation for being innovators with new technology.

As a member of Doyle Sails International, Doyle Sails Oslo has full access to the same technology that produces sails for many of the highest profile yachts around the world, including Hugo BossComanche, Bella Mente, Proteus, Rio-100, Leopard 100, and Shockwave to name a few. All Stratis membranes are manufactured in the Auckland facility together with many of the most technologically advanced superyachts, such as M5, Sea Eagle II and Maltese Falcon, which were all projects that pushed the traditional boundaries of sailmaking.
