Doyle Sails International proudly announces a new licensing agreement with Kathy O’Brien of O’Brien Marine, Inc bringing Doyle Sails to San Diego, CA.
Doyle Sails San Diego is a full-service loft located at 2805 Canon Street, near Shelter Island in the Point Loma Community of San Diego.
Kathy brings a wealth of business experience earning a Business Degree from the University of Connecticut. She was raised in New England where she sailed on Long Island Sound for many years with her family and friends before moving to San Diego. She has raised her family of three girls in San Diego and remains an enthusiastic member of its sailing community.
“We are very excited to be introducing the Doyle name to cruising and racing sailboat owners in the southern California area,” says Kathy. Building on over twelve years’ experience in the sail industry in sales and excellent service, she is excited to bring a truly international perspective to discerning and competitive sailboat owners in the San Diego area.
Mat Bryant joined the loft in 2019 bringing 20 years of professional sailing experience to Doyle San Diego.

As a member of Doyle Sails International, Doyle Sails San Diego has full access to the same technology that produces sails for many of the highest profile yachts around the world, including Hugo Boss, Comanche, Bella Mente, Proteus, Rio-100, Leopard 100, and Shockwave to name a few. All Stratis membranes are manufactured in the Auckland facility together with many of the most technologically advanced superyachts, such as M5, Sea Eagle II and Maltese Falcon, which were all projects that pushed the traditional boundaries of sailmaking.
