Doyle Sails International and San Diego are pleased to announce that Chris Winnard has joined the team.
Chris is a Global Yacht Advisor for ENGEL & VÖLKERS YACHTING, who represent the McConaghy line of Superyachts and Performance Multihulls. He specializes in performance racing and cruising yachts for a worldwide client base and sees a symbiotic relationship between sourcing the perfect boat for his clients and equipping them with the finest sails in the world. With 30 years of experience in the marine industry, Chris is uniquely qualified to help with any clients sailing needs.
Chris grew up in England where he started sailing at an early age with family cruises over to France and in the Med. He started racing dinghies at age ten but it’s when the family moved to San Diego that the racing bug really took hold. He has won thirteen US National and six North American titles as skipper or tactician, and has won and raced at the international level in Europe and particularly enjoys racing in the classic and modern 6 Metre classes. Offshore credits include multiple Newport to Ensenada wins and will be doing his first Transpac next year.
He will be a great addition to the San Diego team and is well known as a top racer but also as someone who takes time to help anyone who has a question.
