Doyle Sails is proud to partner with several significant charities and foundations that share the same philosophies for leadership, sustainability, and education. This week that list of significant partnerships grew to include Fair Food.
Fair Food is Auckland’s original food rescue charity and is on a mission to feed people, not landfills! The charity rescues surplus fresh food and re-distributes to frontline community groups and social agencies across Auckland, and this week fifteen Doyle Sails volunteers were proud to be part of their work.
The contribution:
- 37.5 hours donated.
- 2,788 kilograms of food sorted by hand.
- 2,170 kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables chopped by hand.
- This equates to feeding our community with 7,965 meals
